Crowded

Below is a trailer and stills from “Crowded,” a six minute erase and redraw animation on multiple layers of paper. I started and stopped this movie many times, beginning at the Jan van Eyck Academie in the Netherlands, continuing at ACC Galerie in Weimar, Germany and finishing the drawing and score in Normal, Illinois. It was the first animation I made without planning its movement in advance. I wanted create a moving drawing that formed story elements along the way.
